Legacy Bloodstock kicked off their 2021 Keeneland September consignment with a bang, selling nine of the first 10 hips offered, including a striking colt by City of Light that brought a final bid of $710,000.
Bred by T/C Stable out of the stakes-winning and stakes-producing Forest Wildcat daughter Fallseed, the colt is from the first crop by Lane’s End Farm’s City of Light.
Mayberry Farm signed the ticket after a spirited volley of bidding during a frenetic third session of the world’s most important yearling sale.
Legacy sold four other hips for six figures, including a $360,000 Bernardini colt to Winchell Thoroughbreds and Nyquist filly who commanded a final bid of $260,000 from Mayra Ruiz.
