Another Stakes Victory for Keeneland September Grad Moon Swag

Moon Swag, who had one horse beaten at the three-furlong marker, surged to victory in the $100,000 Joseph E. Spanky Broussard Memorial Stakes on the Stakes-packed December 26 card at Fair Grounds.

Moon Swag was timed in 1:43.21 under Corey Lanerie.

The Broussard is the second Stakes victory for Moon Swag, a 4-year-old daughter of Malibu Moon bred by Spendthrift Farm. Her first came in the second start of her juvenile season, a score in the Manzano Stakes.

Moon Swag has placed in four additional blacktype events, two Graded, including a narrow defeat in last year´s Indiana Oaks (G3). The Brendan Walsh trainee has now bankrolled $334,880 for owner Farfellow Farm, who purchased the filly out of the Put It Back dam Yara from the Legacy Bloodstock consignment at the 2019 Keeneland September sale.
